# Abundera Research

> Independent research, open data, and analysis on where American consumers systematically lose money — billing errors, benefits gaps, medical debt. The editorial/research arm of the Abundera platform.

Abundera Research (abundera.org) is the non-promotional, research-focused counterpart to [abundera.ai](https://abundera.ai/) (the commercial product). We publish aggregate findings from Abundera's engines — how often medical bills contain errors, how much benefits money goes unclaimed, how fast subscription prices creep — as editorial data, free to cite, with separate voice from the product marketing.

**Stage:** Launching 2026. First report ("The Billing Error Baseline") targets Q3 2026.

## What we publish

- **Original data** — aggregate findings from Abundera's engines at scale. Medical billing error rate by hospital category, average overcharge, appeal success rate, unclaimed benefits by program, etc.
- **Open datasets** — anonymized, structured, redistributable. For journalists, researchers, and consumer advocates.
- **Practical guides** — how to dispute a hospital bill, how to appeal an insurance denial, how to find benefits you qualify for. Public-good content, not product marketing.
- **Press kit and citations** — methodology, contact info, downloadable assets.

## Planned first reports

- **2026-Q3 — The Billing Error Baseline.** Aggregate medical billing error analysis. Error rate by hospital category, average overcharge, appeal success rate.
- **2026-Q4 — The Benefits Gap.** How much federal and state benefits money goes unclaimed (SNAP, LIHEAP, WIC, Medicaid). Application-friction analysis.
- **2027 — The Subscription Creep Index.** Year-over-year price increases by merchant, measured at scale.

## Relationship to abundera.ai

Abundera Research is part of Abundera, Inc. but operates with editorial independence. If the data shows the product isn't helping in some category, we publish that finding unchanged. Research is not marketing.
